FYI the VS 1 LHR-EWR changing to an 09:30 departure from LHR as of 30th march 2014 to arrive in EWR at 12:35 as part of delta tie up to have even spread if New York flights ex LHR throughout the day

Interesting ... presumably that means the VS2 is moving earlier as well?

I'm on it on March 29th - possibly the last one at the old time?

EDIT - yes, I see it is - VS2 retimed meaning "passengers can be in central London for the start of the working day". So presumably departing EWR around 6pm?

The VS Boston flight's also shifting a couple of hours later ...

What's happening to the timing of the VS3 - presumably shifting to accommodate the 1?

This is a real shame. The VS 1 at present allows a morning in the office and an arrival time into Newark that is perfect for a quick dinner and then bed. I much prefer Newark to JFK immigration even if there is a similar flight time to JFK. Coming back a 9pm departure is better than 6pm as its too early to sleep so even if you have a full day in London you feel wrecked. A really bad decision for me. I doubt I'll take a delta flight unless I really have to, so with clubhouse concerns I'm not too sure what the positives of this deal are for frequent virgin passengers.

Thanks for the information, VB. :)

I must admit, I agree with virginlondon. I much prefer to arrive early evening and get into the time zone overnight. The early start at LHR just doesn't work for those of us who don't live relatively close or who don't want to waste a night staying at LHR - the last thing you want before a work trip when you're already going to be away from home for a period!
