A quick report of our latest flight. Overall very good as you would expect. Asked at check in about UC reward availability, but would have been 950GBP (each) + the miles to get from our K class seats, so no thank you. Not so bothered on a daylight flight anyway and UC upgrade already bagged for the return.

Check-in smooth, bit of a queue at security, boarding from 1 hour before flight, pushed back on time. And then nothing happened for about 30 mins. The captain came on to report that there had been a hydraulic leak from a plane in front, and we were waiting while they cleared it up.

Flight a bit bumpy - must have had seat belt sign on and off 6 times, including one where the crew were ordered to strap in. PE seat on A330 just fine, everything worked.

I have marked food down a little because of my wife's afternoon tea, or lack of it. She is Lactose intolerant, and so was given a vegan lunch (which was fine), but for tea she got a cheese and pickle sandwich. The crew basically said that they don't do a vegan version of the tea, which does seem a bit odd. Best they could do was some fruit from UC.

Landed in Antigua and our heart sank to see that the BA flight had beat us and was just dis-embarking (that 30min delay at LGW cost us I think). Walked to immigration and a Delta flight was also unloading, so ended up with about a 45 min wait (bearing in mind we were front of PE so off pretty quick. Must have been 1 hour+ for those at the back.

On my first morning in Galley Bay and it is as good as last time, although I am still de-toxing from last night, where I did slightly over indulge. Must have had a few because I was dancing.

Aah the things we do in alcohol fuelled daze... ;)

Thanks for the TR, hope the return is equally as good an experience or better for you.

I should just add that we had ticked the Vegan box when booking the flight (she is not actually Vegan - but just makes sure she gets dairy free), so was surprising that no alternative was available for afternoon tea.
