Evening all from the BA Lounge at T3, the destination not of choice for those on an EK ticket but flying QF metal. Had I never been to the CH I would have thought this place heaven on earth, but as it is where's my feckin' champagne? :D Good to see them getting in the party spirit with the school dinner themed food offerings...oh, hang on a minute...

Mightily entertained on the drive down by the ex Tristar driver who regaled us with tales of SRB and other folk of the famous persuasion...

The plan is coming together, as #1 daughter coming to join us in Dubai for the onward leg to Sydney only realised she was flying business when she reached to Economy check in to be told she was in the wrong queue; the car had been explained away as 'cheaper to book through Emirates than to take a taxi'...

I expect you are already on your way Paul, so have a wonderful Xmas and New Year in OZ jealous already, still trying to talk my OH round to a trip, (he doesn't like flying) down under.

Have a fabulous time, we have it wet and very windy here. LInda

And now hello from the EK lounge at DXB. QF flight in was fine, reunion with #1 Daughter successfully achieved. Possible tussle over seating on the horizon as there's a large family trying to rearrange their seats and as one of us is effectively a single traveller.....

Letting the side down, but 8.30 am proved a time for juice and a banana rather than fizz. So stocks unharmed!

Linda - weather overcast and drizzly here in Sydney, forecast is for it improve at the weekend.

The seating issue didn't materialise (thankfully).

TRs will follow as soon as. QF business... n( for food, y) for seat and service.
