Picked this up from a post on FlyerTalk.

VS have changed the T&Cs so that if you cancel a reward flight more than 24 hours in advance of your flight you will get all your miles back (was previously 75% if cancelling more than 7 days in advance and 0 after that)

4.2.1 ...

If for any reason a flight reward is cancelled by the Member outside 24 hours of departure, 100% of the Miles will be re-credited to the member’s account...

Can I clarify? If I book a couple of one way Gs which incur a cost of 100,000 miles plus £720 ish in taxes, charges etc and later cancel, am I right in thinking providing it is more than 24 hrs ahead, I will have all miles refunded and all cash - minus the £30pp cancellation charge?

That seems remarkably generous.

I spoke with FC the other day about cancelling some reward flights, and was told 100 % of miles will be refunded and 100% of taxes/fees/surcharges etc.

I asked about a cancellation fee and was told there wasn't one for AU FC members.

Quick question folks. I booked a UC reward flight to JFK back in November departing on 31 March. I might need to cancel this next week. Anyone know which T&Cs will apply? Will it be the ones in force at the time of the booking (75% of miles refunded if cancelled more than 7 days in advance) or at the time of the cancelation (100% of miles refunded if cancelled more than 24 hours in advance)?

I would assume that officially the T&Cs in force at time of booking would apply. That's not to say that Virgin's IT won't wrongly credit the full refund, or that Virgin's customer service might mistakenly, or as a goodwill gesture, do similarly. I would call Flying Club if you want a definitive answer.
