I just made what wasn't to be fair the easiest booking

MIL flying MAN-MCO-MAN EC/PE on a revenue with
wifey flying MCO-MAN-MCO Ec reward with amex upgrade after purchase of miles
they are both flying on the same MCO-MAN flight

so anyway , we link MIL to her Fc number and then try to do same with the Mrs , BUT her FC account is in her maiden name and dormant

so booking all done I get the privilege of paying and about 10 minutes after the call etickets come through.......wifes in her maiden name :0

I call back and get a very helpful lady....offers to put it all right BUT 'there will be a small change fee'

Oh no says I, its your error please listen to the tape as I have
names, extension numbers ,time of call, the order of booking and even how the mistake happened

got a sympathetic ear and a promise that the support centre would listen to the tape and I will get a call back in a day or so

well it was 6.30pm on a Saturday ....soooo we will see

I shall report back

Would you have been worried if it had been the other way round and the MIL had not been able to fly ;) :D

AFAICS the only problem was the threat of additional charges, but good to see all ends well, and even the broomstick was not required. Makes you feel good that we chose well and mistooks are rectified with good grace.

correct ACB, I was 1000000000% confident I had given her married name and because of a thread on FT about mistakes over the phone I made doubly sure....I think the fact I could walk them through the conversation as it happened helped...plus names ,extension numbers etc.

very happy with the way they dealt with it
