I know this info is probably kicking about somewhere on the forums, but I've gotten so confused searching for it and trying to work it out I thought simpler to ask lol! ?|

I'm flying UC to NRT in May (on a couple of G's too which I'm chuffed about). Now I know that VS have been making changes re seat selections and when you can, but I still can't figure it out. T-90 is up in a couple of weeks and it's on my calendar to login and select my seats, but can I still do that or is it now T-60?

Advice much appreciated as always folks.

Ta,
Bretty :D

Will it always be T60?? I thought after 1st April it was going to be from point of booking regardless of date of travel.
I booked two flights today ( a P & a G whoop whoop!!) & I was hoping that I could select seats on or just after 1st April?

You roll a dice, multiply the result by the year of Richard Branson's birth, then call up Flying Club and enter that number divided by the age of the oldest aircraft in the VS fleet, and this gets you to a recorded message telling you the answer. Oh, but for this to work you have to call between 02:17 and 02:18 GMT on the morning 370 days before your flight. :)

Superb answer at240!! Roflmao. It seems I'm not the only one who's confused.com. ?|

I wait with bated breath the confirmed answers. Or I could just log on at T-90 and see can't I? Lol. ^)

Thanks everybody for your contributions.

I'm still a bit confused even after reading the updated advice I am booked & flying on 19th PE & 29th UC. T-60 is 22nd July & 1st August respectively....do I have to wait for T-60 or will I be able to select seats on 1st April when the new changes fully take effect??

In all seriousness, the table is not clear on that point (though I think you are right). It says that if you are in UC/PE and departing after 1 April, seats will be available to book at time of booking/T-336, but it also states that if you are already booked to fly "in April" seats can be assigned at T-60. That leaves a logical gap -- flights that are booked now/prior to 1 April but which depart after April, which I think is Jodybuk's situation.

Whoever put that table together needs to do a course in logic -- it is really very poorly done. E.g. if you are flying LGW to Antigua in April, in economy, when can you assign your seats?

They are not distinguishing clearly enough between date of booking and date of flight (which they are calling date of departure, which is itself ambiguous because it could mean your departure from the UK or just any flight's departure [which is actually the correct answer in this case]).
