Hi all,

We are off to Orlando next year, 25th April 2015, and I have a some airmiles left over from previous trips. We are 2 adults and 1 child (3 years old) travelling together. I could potentially have enough airmiles to do one of the following options:-

3 miles plus money premium economy flights
1 adult companion premium economy flight (paying for the other adult and child)
1 upgrade from Economy to Premium Economy (paying for the other adult and child in PE).

I know it's hard to predict with the changing prices depending on time of year etc, and how far it is in advance, but does anyone know roughly how much I would save with each option?

Thanks

best way is do some 'trial bookings' on the website, just stop and go back once it's told you the cost

companion tickets are not usually good value as i think they are only usable with a full fare ticket - every year i get the option for one, but it's never been cheaper than simply buying two tickets on a lower fare code, so i've never used one

Agreed, do some dummy bookings. I expect 3 M&M fares may be the cheapest (just based on a couple of redemptions I booked recently).

And on the companion ticket - I only ever use them when work pays for a full fare flight and a friend can use the companion at the same time.

A cheapest PE may well be the same price as an upgradeable Economy.
I have paid the same this year for PE as I did last year for economy, but it was worth it because we had enough points to go up to Upper.
My guess is miles plus money is likely to be best use.

Cheers for the replies everyone.

For a companion ticket do I need to book a specific class for Premium Economy or will I still be able to get the Lowest Cost PE fare?
