This is going to be a very long shot, but here goes!

I am looking to make contact with the two Upper Class passengers that have reserved seats 14A & 15A on the above flight. (I can only presume you are part of the V Flyer family after seeing how quickly you reserved your seats after the block was removed!)

I am flying back to the UK on the same flight with three members of my family. We are spending 12 days out in Barbados to celebrate my parents' 60th birthdays. Sadly I have missed out on securing my parents' favourite seats on the 747 configuration. We nearly always fly as a group of four and the set up of 12A & K and 14A & K suits us perfectly. It allows us to socialise as a family instead of having to sit in a long line or on opposite sides of the aircraft.

At present I have managed to reserve 12A & K, 14K and 15K. If you are the couple in 14A & 15A, would you be willing to move one row back to allow us to have seat 14A or you could obviously have 15K to be opposite 15A?

I appreciate that to some people this may seem a little forward, but I thought it was worth pursuing due to the special nature of the occasion.

If you are out there 14A & 15A, it would mean a great deal to us if you were able to assist us with this request.

Maybe once you are on board and you speak face to face they will swop. I have been asked to move in the past and it is hard to refuse when being appealed to in person !

I had the same issue a couple of years ago on both the outbound and the inbound legs. We wanted 14A or K to swap with 15K

On the outbound we asked in the Clubhouse and in the course of time, we got the swap. In a similar mode, I was asked in the CH to swap my seat to keep a family together and happily did so.

On the inbound we didn't have the same luck as the ones in 14A/K were UC newbies and didn't realise that 14/15K would be better. They were later heard complaining that the seats were too far apart. Serves them right!! :o)

Hi arbc83

I don't think you're forward in asking. I hope you are able to get in contact with the elusive pax. However, as learned V-Flyers have said, don't give up hope, even it it can't be resolved successfully until you're onboard.

I have been asked to swop before now & have done so.

Good luck. Keep us posted.

Many thanks for all the positive comments and tips! If all else fails I will defiantly attempt to make the switch onboard. I am just conscious that they might not want 15K because it will put them across the aisle from each other. I may give Virgin a call to see if they can do anything when the passengers in question check in, possibly make the request on my behalf?
