As a member of VS frequent flyers I know that I am entitled to a 10% discount off any booking with V holidays[oo]

Next year we are looking to fly to Hawaii via SFO as 3 couples. The other 2 couples have never flown VS before and to be honest no one can get near the cost of the holiday that VH are quoting.[y]

VH have told me that we will all get the 10% discount providing the booking is in my name etc.

My question is if the other 2 couples join frequent flyers will they get the discount in their own right without having taken a flight, but by just by being FF members.

Or do they have to have had a flight with VS prior to the holiday to get the 10% off.

Regards

Paul

As far as I'm aware, you just simply join FC then go and make the VH booking, quoting your new FC number and hey presto, you get the 10% FC discount.

It is a bit annoying, from a FVC point of view, as FVC members need to take 3 VH first before they get their 10% discount.

Are they making a seperate booking? You will only get one discount per booking. They each need to join the FC then tell VH so they get the discount off each booking.

Hey Paul, make sure you recommend them for FC membership via "miles more friends" and you'll get a good few thousand miles in return!

Thanks for the replies guys.

locutus Yes basically there will be 3 separate bookings.

John No wories on that score they have already been sent their Ecard's however I don't hold out much hope of getting any bonus miles as I would imagine VH will use the lowest fare class possible, we live in hope though[:w]

Oh, and there is no option to put the FC number in when making the booking on the web site. They say you need to phone and place the booking, but I booked online, emailled and 2 days later they applied the discount.

Whilst I nearly booked my flights through VH as well, Virgin were having a sale, so it made it cheaper to buy through VA and the accom on VH, so worth checking both out.
