Hello all,

Before I try ringing Virgin about this, may I ask you experienced travellers a question about changing W tickets, which is a bit new to me.

I have 1 booking with 7 people on it, to go LGW-MCO. I managed to get flexible W tickets at the time in case I needed to make changes, and I now have 2 of my party considering visiting relatives up in New England at the end of the trip, which leads me to 2 questions:

1) Despite the fact I have one booking, can I split out and change the return date for two of my party, and would it cost extra for a W ? (they could then get a internal return ticket up MCO-BOS)

2) As they want to visit up near BOS / JFK area, could I simply change their return airport, without affecting the rest of my party returning from MCO. Again, any fee or gotcha's? (I realise this would probably bring them to LHR nor LGW)

Many thanks for advice (or other bright ideas!) in advance

There is a distinction between bookings and tickets. Tickets will be issued per person and so changing them individually should not pose a problem. In theory, anyway!

1. If you have fully flexible W-class tickets, then this should be OK (I can't remember whether there are any admin fees). If you have cheaper PE tickets, you will incur change fees or possibly have to pay up to a higher bucket.

2. I think so, yes, but again tricky to say for sure without knowing the fare bucket of your tickets.

Just reporting back... Actually, I encountered 2 very helpful people (I had to call, enquire with relatives, then ring back and action) - they understood my request, and actioned it professionally. I cannot fault the service I got from the call centre today. Fantastic- and didn't take too long.

Anyway, they checked the rate rules and I was ok to move dates or cancel with my W tickets, and moving airports was no problem, you just pay the difference in fare if there is one, but in my case I got a small refund! ;) Bonus!

Many thanks all for your help
