I'm very nearby and it's very interesting!
A guy called this over a year ago on pprune even getting the date correct so I'm inclined to believe his source. Although marketing saying this is a celebration of 10 years at Glasgow the rumours very much saying it's a proving flight with a view to replacing the lunchtime 777 with the A380 (there's currently 2 flights a day at 70% load factor).
I wasn't aware GLA could handle the A380 without gate mods, Emirates seem to be forcing HAL's hand.
