No 1 lounges

I am flying out of Gatwick this morning, tried to access No 1 lounge with my Priority Pass, it is the start of the School Holidays and Gatwick is busy!

Turned away from No1 lounge as its fully booked [or wait 45 minutes for entry] --- be aware now need to make a reservation to guarantee entry on the day v(
A £5.00 booking fee is payable !

Currently in the Aspire Lounge which is also accessible with Priority pass --- its not a bad lounge so not unhappy, although filling up very quickly [me and the lounge!]

Thanks for keeping us 'abreast' of the situation.

I am going next week and have my pass.
As I understand it pre-book and it's £5 cheaper than on the door.

Manchester T2 is also busy, the PP website has this comment,
"PLEASE NOTE: Some of the Manchester UK lounges are currently having some capacity issues and we therefore apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. There are a selection of lounges to choose from in both terminals."
If you are traveling business it is not a problem but with so many websites selling access just turning up with up your PP is no guarantee that you will get in.

The first day of the school holidays is probably about as busy as it gets at a holiday airport like LGW or MAN.

There are usually a couple of lounge options right, at the big airports. I mean there's two, perhaps three, at Manchester Terminal 1 (or did they merge the serviceair).

I'd expect alternatives, and possibly full if flying at school hols though.

MAN has two PP lounges in T1, two in T2 and one in T3.

Most major airports will have at least a couple although there are some major exceptions - there's nothing for PP holders at Heathrow T4 or T5 for example.

I'm at LGW at the moment and also got a knock back with Priority Pass from No1 saying it was full, I looked around and asked her where are the guests then? They have got a lot of bookings coming later apparently, hmmmmmm

So sitting in the Aspire at the mo, which is quite nice but would have Prefered the No1 for the hot snack

No.1 Lounge can get incredibly busy and they generally can't cope at about 75% capacity.

With Priority Pass entry running at about £15 a go (Let's see PP are adding a 40% add on the the nett rate) I'd say No. 1 are chasing the money - direct bookings and their own No. 1 Pass.
