Hi all

I am looking for an economy flight from MAN to MCO on 15 July, with an upper class return from SFO to LHR on 12 August.

Price for this on VA website is coming out just over £2k. Is this a good price? I've never travelled UC before so I am completely out of my depth as to what is a reasonable fare. Also, does anyone know if VA usually have an UC sale any time soon and, if so, would you recommend I try my luck and hold off booking for now?

Thanks for any advice!

Generally this is little rhyme or reason to sale times, as they will only do them when they need to and a sale may only cover some routes.

Whether the price is 'good' depends on your point of view. The usual advice is if you feel comfortable with it then take it and don't then look at fares again.

I'd say that's pretty much the normal price - but in a sale I'd be looking to pay no more than £1500 for that combo.

Trouble is the last sale ended about 3 weeks ago and there's no telling when the next one will be. You could hold out for it, but given the time of year there's a reasonable chance your chosen flights will sell out in their cheapest fare buckets and the price will rocket instead of fall.

The usual V-Flyer rule is - if you see a price you're happy to pay, pay it and don't check back!
