I have booked two PE seats from Manchester to Orlando for 15th May, returning on 20th May.

When I first booked, the price showing to upgrade to UC was c£1500 per person, today it is £608 per person. Is it likely to drop between now and May 15th or should I buy it now for £608?

I paid £888 per person for the trip.

Welcome to vflyer ,it won't go down from that so if it's UC you want then go for it .
I take it that is the upgrade price for both flights ?

Why wont it go down? Its already dropped from £1500.

Yes that is for both legs, £608 per person so £1216 in total.

I was hoping that nearer the time it would get cheaper as I wouldnt imagine the flight would be anywhere near sold out on those dates.

What do we have without hope??

In all fairness £608 is cool, I was considering it at £1500 each so to get us both upgraded for £1200 I think I am gonna go with that.

For UC travel is it best to sit opposite or next to each other?

If you add the original fare cost to the upgrade price you near enough get what the flights are being sold for now in the sale and I've personally never seen them any lower so I would grab it now y)

If you're a couple, try and get 6A & 6K when seat requests open at T-60. They're the furthest front you can get, right in the nose, and are great for couples as they're very close together (feet almost touching!)

Otherwise, get two next to each other as the further back you go, the further apart the A & K seats get and you'll have a lot of aisle between you.

Good to hear, ultimately if you see a price you are happy to pay then go for it :D

The recent price drops are going to be related to the UC seat sale currently running.. Manchester - Orlando Z fares are pricing at £1497. You originally paid £888, add on the £608 and you get to £1496.... the question is how will you spend the extra pound :P?

Now all I have to do is resist said sale ..... some of those UC fares are mighty tempting ii)
