Hi all. Been a while since i've been on the site. My brother is flying out to orlando on on the 9th April from Manchester at 11am. Can anyone confirm will it be the 747 or the Airbus. Can't seem to find any listings. Cheers Gary

Currently, both flights (VS 73 & VS 75) are showing being operated by 747's.

But of course anything can change

As Buns has said, all flights ex MAN are now on 747's. The A333's aren't scheduled to operate out of there currently, but as with anything that could change, but unlikely with your flight being fairly soon and over the very busy Easter period to MCO when the flights will be fully booked.

By seat selection you mean 60 days? Rosters settled well before then they would only change if there was a large unplanned event such as a bird-strike or major maintenance issue.

In that case I hope my plane doesn't change! However I was hoping for a A330 2 Cabin not A346 to NYC as it would have been nice to turn left (only in PE for this trip!)...

Haha! I'm premium economy this year and really annoyed that I still won't be turning left when I walk onboard! It's the little things... :|

Ow well, still would have been nice to be on the new plane...

Why have they done that to the new planes - seems a bit odd!

ISTBC but I think two or three were introduced with only Y and PE to provide extra capacity on the holiday routes while the 747s were being refurbished.

Now the 747s are all available again they could afford to take some of the capacity out and put UC in.

When the A330's were delivered, the original plan was for the new "dream suite" to be installed.

Before the 1st two arrived, issues with the new suites were discovered and they were delivered as 2 class planes.

The issues were subsequently fixed and the rest of the fleet was delivered with the new suites fitted (IE 3 class planes) and then the 2 "oddballs" were updated.

Some of the fleet were also leased out to other airlines before Virgin took delivery.
