Hey All - what an amazing source of knowledge this board is! Thought I would use the groupmind to see how early we should get to LAX to try and get 3 extra legroom seats together. I've already paid for the seats, I'd just like to be able to sit with my husband and daughter during the flight. I'm also hoping that if we get in the row of 4 that we'll luck out and not get anyone sitting in the fourth seat ;)

So, what say you all?

Also - one bonus question. While we leave on a Friday, we land on Saturday - my birthday! How hard will it be to try and get a glass of bubbly back to Economy? It's for medicinal purposes - really!

Welcome to V-Flyer.

Your extra legroom seats will be allocated by the airline prior to OLCI opening at T -24hrs.

If you do OLCI 24 hours before you fly, you will be able to view the seats allocated. You are given the option to change them during the check in process, but VS' ropey IT very rarely allows this to happen and (in my experience) you will get an error message. n(

You also have the option to change them at LAX, so - if you don't like your seats - get there as soon as check in opens, which IIRC is four hours before take off at satellite airports
- may be different for LAX though.

They will try to allocate your seats together.

There is a product you can buy to keep the adjacent seat free, but I am not sure whether they offer this for extra-legroom seats.

I'm not sure whether you are on the 8 or the 24 but if the latter, I believe you can check in a looong time in advance of the flight (you can in higher cabins).

If you're on the 8 tonight Flightstats is showing it as completely full in Y & PE I'm afraid ... You never know though, could be some no shows.
