Hello All

I have noticed (may just be me) that there are a lot of posts regarding lounges in various airports. Perhaps this would warrant a sticky listing the lounges with cost / rating..?

I guess the reason I am so aware is that I have been trying to find a lounge in JFK for my return. I have PE flights so no CH unless I am lucky!

Well, most airport lounges are largely the same, some seats, sometimes a telly, and a bar with spirits, wine and some beer. These are sometimes referred to as Priority Pass lounges, because you get free access to those with the likes of Platinum Amex cards which give you a PP card. Those usually can be paid in, the price varies though: http://www.prioritypass.com/ gives you a list.

Now if you are talking airline specific lounges, those can be excellent like Virgins (though they are not on all ends of the airports they fly to, you'll get stuck in a PP lounge in most holiday airports, and places like Miami, Vancouver) to as basic as PP lounges. They'll usually need a business or even first ticket (some BA lounges are first only) or some sort of status with the airline.

I've not really noticed the posts about lounges recently though.

It's always worth chancing your luck at any VS Clubhouse reception.

Sometimes they'll let you pay to get in, sometimes they won't but it can't hurt to ask!
