Rubbish seat a/v on OLCI - only option at airport?

Just checked in online from my mobile for my flight to BGI tomorrow and there were only 2 seats available to choose from - one in the bubble and one on the lower deck. Seems a little sparse compared to other times. Is the only way now to get a better seat at the desk this evening when I use Twilight Check-in?

Yes, and even then there might not be any better options, just depends on the loads and what/who else they have to allocate seats for. Quite often seat changes are done at the gate when trying to move pax around.

Had good success with asking at the gate for a move if unhappy with options on checkin - or at the lounge if you have access. Don't ask - don't get is my view. Myself and Wife have managed to get the one of 5 spare free seats reallocated to be between us on a MCO flight before now by simply being polite and asking.

Obvious depends on the load factor of the flight.

From what I gather VS029 isn't too heavy in PE tomorrow although that might have changed? All they had was 20H in the bubble and something else on the lower deck. Took 20h as at least it's a little quieter although was after 24 A/C after comments on here.

Does anyone know if the loads have changed in PE?

8 PE tickets left for the VS29 tomorrow according to Flightstats. Out of a cabin of 56. So actually pretty busy. In fact probably full as there are usually some last minute upgrades.

It's quite close to the toilet but at least you don't have anyone in front of you.

Not sure how much legroom you get with the bulkhead though.

Well, like a plonker I missed TLCI by 2 minutes and they weren't having any of it. Damn traffic! Luckily the nice man at Yotel was happy to look after the flight case I was hoping to offload to VS this evening! Early start for a better seat tomorrow!
