Thanks for this. I click, I register it tells me I am already registered. Which is odd, as I certainly haven't received anything for my stays thus far in March.

I was aware of the promotion but think I will stick with earring Hilton points, at least I will be able to redeem them for free stays! y)
Already built up a considerable total with VA but find it difficult to find any way of using them without extortionate extras being added. n(

:? I still see them like FF miles. Not always available, and sometimes grossly overpriced. Since they moved from a flat points charge model a year or two back, some hotels are looking for 250k points a night....

I get the same response, and am sure I haven't registered for this.

I must agree - with all the surcharges (not taxes) VA shove onto every redemption they appear pretty useless. n( ..as I said on another thread (about miles booster) I use mine on Virgin Wines :o) and also have had 4 balloon rides but otherwise pretty useless...IMHO.... (Before any one of the hundreds of VA employees who are on this site suggests it...I cannot upgrade as I have never flown on a ticket that allows this - I always fly cheapest economy)

Again I see this strange idea that Hilton points have some good value and virgins aren't. I did enough nights (35-40ish) one year to earn gold, and it earned me just under 2 nights free stays at 155,000 points. I'd not be going out of my way to earn Hilton points in the future. They did get me some VS miles at first, but they don't do that any more.

Well, you just plan the trip to upgrade it. Frankly, the upgrade route has saved me about 10 times the amount of what Hilton would save me. For instance, 2xupgradable economy + miles to UC, to JFK, about 800 quid and 40K miles each. Its not hard to find a normal economy fare up at the 700-800 range nowadays. Needs planning, but the real fare is about 1.7K, so that saved me about 900 quid per person.

I get the feeling the "I can't redeem anything!" people are the Orlando flyers... Like the bucket and spade routes, less UC seats to use, and probably involve family, so multiple seats required.
