Check in at Orlando was swift, boarding was on time with upper and premium passengers boarding first. Our seats on the back row of the bubble ( premium section) were really good. Champagne was served immediately. We took off early and told it was only a seven hour flight.
We thought the meal was very good, I had beef and my husband chicken. All the accompaniments were of a high quality and we were satisfied. We also got our first choices. There were two drinks services and liqueurs offered if required. Few people drank much. Coffee was available and cabin crew walked around offering water every hour or so.
We thought the seats were much more comfortable than the a330 upper class. The bubble felt airy and the aisle was wide. Our fellow passengers upstairs were all very quiet so very little traffic through to the bathrooms.
I enjoyed the whole experience and would choose this class rather than upper on an a330 on a shorter long haul flight.
Our luggage appeared first and in good time.
The only possible drawback to the bubble if travelling to the usa is you are last off the aircraft.
I agree there is no lounge and the food is possibly not to the standard of upper but I do think this cabin offers excellent value for money and I feel has improved from the last time we travelled in this class.
The crew worked hard and were swift with service and very pleasant. Vera was great. I caught up on seven hours worth of soaps!
I was thinking this may be our last Virgin flight but this leg of our journey impressed us enough to book again.
