Hello all, well this trip had to be changed a few weeks before we left much as the same boat as Daffodil due to the inconsiderate Sandals hotel chairman deciding on upgrading his hotel in the middle of my holiday and spoiling over 450 UK holidaymakers.

We learnt about the forthcoming closure on Facebook and with myself on G flights going out to ANU and returning BGI to LGW my fellow v-flyers know only only too week a change of Gs was going to be. However looking around for any Caribbean G available we did manage to find Montego Bay returning a day later.

My OLCI was a abysmal 62 as I was driving down from up north so missed the opening slot, But getting back to this flight you may have sen my post about the Hilton a very nice stay indeed :D . Wanted to get to the clubhouse early and had a great welcome at Gatwick at the check in and through the Gatwick Premium which was not so quick after a hen party went through ii) .

Arrived at the clubhouse and was the second couple to arrive and breakfast was ordered. As buns had said new menu and I was looking at the burger but full English won in the end. We booked the free treatments and how lovely there were indeed y) . We went for a show about an hour before boarding and made our way to gate 32 to see Diamond Girl waiting for us. Within minutes we were boarding and safely into 3a and 4a , I have mentioned that this is my first view of the UCDS and although using fellow v- flyers advice and took a A seat rather than a D seat I didn't mind it apart from as said before the narrowness of the aisle.

I was bumped a few times so fully agree with the comments v(

We were offered a drink and we were quickly underway with 132 onboard so quite a light. Load. I must congratulate a young girl about 5-6 who stayed awake the whole journey and was quiet as a mouse playing on her iPad.

The menu has been discussed before and I had the minestrone soup ,beef and croissant bread and butter pudding which was nice and tasty.

Our flight time was 8-30 mins and arrived into ANU 40 mins early ish but had to wait for a BA plane to depart before we could disembark y)

The crew were good but sometimes when I went for a drink at the bar they were engrossed in conversation with other members of staff n(

Overall a quick flight and now back to the pool it's roasting here , bye bye for now :D

Thank you for the TR. I'm pleased to hear you a a good flight. It must seem funny flying to the caribbean on the A333 after the uaual 747. Have a great week in Antigua ( Wish I was There -3 degrees here tonight ) followed by another in Jamaica.

PS Have you tried the Mudslide cocktail yet?
