Hello All v-Flyers!

Quick questions?!.

I want to hopefully go back to Orlando in september 2015 for 28 nights. I want to fly UC preferably with my other half. I just wanted to know if there was any sales coming up soon to possibly watch out for to get a good price on VA website? I missed out on the Sale in Jan which i was gutted about :(! as the prices were Brilliant!

I just checked on Virgin holidays and tried a dummy package holiday for Tuesday 8th Sept 2015-6th Oct 2015 which came in at £9168 ?| so hoping to improve but that includes hotel and car...

Thanks Everyone y)

There is a sale on at the moment, with Orlando claimed to be 1493 for UC around your dates, but it might well have the seats booked for the specific days you looked at..

Actually the sale ends today...

I'm looking to fly that route in UC over that same period myself, flights for that date (return included) won't go on sale until late November this year, as for sales BA had one club to MCO in Jan and March this year and Virgin matched them except for the dates being a little more restricted, I'd think it'll be December/January time at earliest that sale fares become available (if they do)

Ah, didn't notice the 2015. Yes, you won't see those in any way discounted until at least 11 months in advance, and even then, you'll need a sale on which covers that period. Its not really high season, and Orlando fares have been amongst the cheapest virgin fares recently, so be patient and it all should be ok.

How many sales a year does Virgin have?
I'm trying to plan MCO for Feb/March 2015

They have quite a few, but them covering when you actually want to go, well that's a bit different.

The OP wanted a fare about 18 months in advance, never checked them, but I believe you only get undiscounted fully flexible fares for that sort of time. About 11 months you will start to see rewards appears, cheaper tickets, but will not be likely on sale.

When sales come, they come for targeted periods. For instance end of January was with various obvious blackspots (easter, summer holidays, christmas), pretty much most of 2014. However, with future sales you'll see them discount smaller closer periods. I'd expect sales covering past christmas to appear around September this year, perhaps even August.

The airlines tend to discount the same periods around the same time, thus there was a lot of wonderful sales to Oz and NZ last autumn for up to end of March, couldn't go, but god that business class to OZ for 1.2K was incredible...

Wow John, I am surprised that VH have holiday dates listed 18 months in advance!!

There are likely going to be a few sales and holiday deals released in the intervening timeframe. If I were in your position I would keep an eye out and when you see a price that you can live with, book it 8D

A fair few depending on market position, competition promotions and how their flight and holiday sales are doing... only the house knows the odds on that one ;)

I'm hoping to go to NYC for the last weekend in June - I know, I know.... it's going to be expensive. I'm just wondering if it's worth hanging on for a month or so in case there is a sale. At the moment it's not an 'ideal' price.

Yeah I was surprised as well to be honest I thought I would check and they had prices!
With sales it is hard as they go straight away so I think I will have to try some dummy bookings and if I find it cheaper book it!
I can't go this year as I'm buying a house! Good in some ways but crap because I enjoy the Florida sun! And going for 4 weeks is even better :)
