Just received e-tickets from VH for flights on april 28th on VS27.

There are four of us on the booking, on two VA ref numbers - 2 flying H class and 2 V class (but all on the return trip in H).

It says two bags allowed for PE(as expected) but 2 bags allowed for economy passengers (unexpected)!

I thought economy was only ONE bag per person.

Anyone confirm 1 way or the other please

It used to be (I think! ISTBC!), that if you had a mixed class booking, the luggage allowance of the higher class was used for both flights.

But the Virgin Atlantic website now states:
If you've booked a journey with Virgin Atlantic which includes Virgin Atlantic mixed class or a trip on another airline, each class or airlines baggage allowance will apply for each of the individual sectors.

So that would be 2 bags for the PE leg and 1 bag for the Y leg.

So either VH have the wrong information, or they have a special deal with VS re:Baggage

Hopefully :-)

I would hope that as it is listed as 2 bags on the e-ticket for the economy part, that would be what is used.

Thx for the info :-)

When I do fly in mix classes, I always fly the return leg in premium class as I will most likely have more luggage coming back than going out.
