Out of interest I checked whether there were any Gs for my VS20 from SFO tomorrow and what should I find but a single G! was in PE to begin with but decided to take the plunge as it's a 747 (wary of 330s) and I could do with a decent kip on the way home. Was surprised to see one as I know West Coast Gs are few and far between!

Well done!

Flightstats is showing tomorrow's VS20 is wide open in all cabins so hopefully shouldn't be too busy.

On flights from the US back to the UK, if there are still unsold seats in UC it's almost always possible to upgrade with miles at the airport - useful to know if those elusive Gs never materialise.

Yes it is.

Must be very quiet then!

I was offered both 19A and K when I upgraded on the VS2 at EWR last month. Turned out the load was only 145 and virtually the entire B section in UC was empty. Cabin crew were very pleased!

And bizarrely VS is not releasing G's via the web site for even near order advance booking. I wonder why?

The fairy is back in San Francisco again today :)

Just checked availability and a G had appeared overnight (California time).
12,500 miles and £60 later, its mine. Looking forward to seeing Robert in the clubhouse tomorrow and the same crew I came out with on Monday!

Now, I need to see if 19A is available....

19A has gone, as has everything in the A zone and upstairs. What's the concensus on 25A by the bar vs 20A by the loo? :)

Tough call but those loos are noisy and old, so I'd be by the bar if you have a good pair of headphones. Mind you, it is a SFO flight and the bar is popular.

Thanks Slinky - I've gone for 25A. I find the light from the galley more disruptive to sleep than the noise from the bar. I have good QC10s and I sleep with foam earplugs - so I'm deaf to the world.

..and the noise from the bar is most likely to be me anyway :D
