Quick miles earning question...

Hi all,

Hope someone might be able explain what class you earn miles in after an upgrade - is it the base class (Economy in this case) when upgraded to an UC ticket or is it the lowest UC miles earning you get? I have a feeling the latter is just wishful thinking but just wanted to check!

For a mileage upgrade you earn as per the underlying revenue fare plus any FC bonus.

If you upgrade with cash then normally you will earn as per the new fare class (though I've heard that this doesn't always happen with airport upgrades).

as above, you earn miles for the original booking

the VS system often fails to give you miles on upgraded flights, then you need to call FC to get the miles

Indeed, I had to ring them both for an upgraded VS flight and the second half of my DL flight!
