10 years a-V-Flying!

Just was checking a post on VF earlier on and I realised it is exactly ten years today that I joined this forum.

Since then, I've learned a lot about flying and about flying with VS in particular (note, people - VS not VA. That's Virgin Australia! v( ). I've flown to destinations that I never dreamt I'd fly to and in classes that I could only aspire to when I first joined. I've scaled the heights of Au membership (for all the good it's done me apart from bonus miles :w ) and am on the downward spiral to lowly red. :#

Most of all though, I've met a great bunch of people who I'm happy to call my friends, many of whom I've met in person and others in cyberspace but I still feel I know them.

So here's to the next ten years and a big thanks to Pete for setting up the site. y)

Congratulations. I'm a newbie but have already had a lot of help from your posts and TRs. What have been your favourite destinations/locations in that time?

And thanks for all of your trip reports that always entertain and your advice given that I must pay more attention to such as not eating anything on BA club Europe.

In the year I have been on v-flyer I have also really enjoyed reading your TRs and am grateful for the advice received HL.

Congratulations, many have come and gone in that same decade, but you have been steadfast, consistent and provider of some of the finest TRs...oh, and lightning rod for the lords of travel trouble, keeping them away from the rest of us....

It's 20 years since I first flew with Virgin (UC to Boston) in November 1994 - think I'll get any recognition from VAA when I fly again in November this year?
