Yes it is sort of behind the bar, although not particularly exposed to it (compare 9A!) -- but I think it doesn't have a window and it is a loud place to be. Not recommended.

Ditto. 9K has no window and the wall behind is the bar bottle rack. Not a good seat.

ugh... such a quandary, I'm booked into 8&9a in a few weeks as I'm sure somebody recommended it... is that really going to be terrible?! who's ideas was this bloody UCDS anyway...!!

9(&8)A/K are often recommended on the LHR 747 fleet

I personally would not knock that seat or any of the "9's" that much.
If I want a very quick exit off the aircraft then 9A is normally my pick. If very often get me to the front of the line in immigration at certain airport.
Of course, if you are there for the experience, then granted, not the best seats for a view or silence.

On a 330 then it's always a K or A seat as they are 5 inches longer. But 6,7 and 8 are our faves.
