Hi all

hopefully an easy question to answer, looking at booking our car hire through virgin with alamo and have noticed the online check in, if we have additional drivers via the gold option (ie me) can we add my driving licence details as well as my husbands when doing the online check in or so we need to go to a desk?

Thanks in advance

Sharon

I have now done on line check in twice at Alamo.

First time I was the only driver and turning up at the VS Hut in the car park, everything was waiting for me and we were away in no time.

I ave just checke in for my rental in May and this time there is a second driver. Registering was a breeze so only hope the MCO experience will be just as say

Possibly not entirely relevant, but may be worth checking t&c as with Hertz a spouse is not considered an 'additional driver'. (At least not in Australia Jan 2014..)

Hi Sharon, I have recently used online check in for Alamo for an MCO pick up. It is very easy and allows changes to be made to the original booking including I believe the adding of a further driver.
It is very beneficial when choosing the car. Once you have your bags you go directly to choose your car and then drive to the car park exit where you present your docs.

Ok, now I am confused - I have just done online check in to pick our car up at MCO and it says we need to proceed to the Alamo desk on the first floor in the terminal to collect our rental agreement and keys. Is this right or can we just take our check in confirmation, go get a car, and off we go? ?| We have the printout with a barcode on it.

The way I thought I read it, was that you take that printout with barcode, collect a car, present the printout, drivers license and credit card at the barrier - or am I wrong?

That's what I did last year, straight into car park, got pointed to a row of cars and everything done at exit. Avoid the desks.
