I wonder if there will be any special deals this year?

Maybe as usual BA will be copied and the tickets will be £30 cos I remember that when BA celebrated 50 years of flying into Nigeria, they offered a handful of Y seats for $50 on the LOS-LHR route.

Ha ha ha, that'll be £30 plus taxes and surcharges, so something around the normal fare then :o) .

In some regards, it would just be nice to simply share with VS the Anniversary - being one never to turn down a free drink or two ): ):

V-Flyers should mark the occasion at least!

I happened to be flying on the day they celebrated their 25th anniversary. I walked into the normally peaceful clubhouse at Heathrow and a jazz band was playing. The place was heaving with celebs as well as SRB himself. On the newspaper table was this birthday cake. All the VIPs were off on a re-creation of the very first VS01 to EWR.

I'm sure there will be something like this to celebrate the big 30!

...So After weeks and weeks and weeks of checking the site daily, suddenly this morning an illusive G-Class seat came up on VS01 on the 22nd June! Yippe! So without thinking I booked it....

It was only after confirming my seat (heart sunk that it wasn't a 747) did I realise what an idiot I have been blowing perfectly good miles to glamorous Newark in the hope of meeting my Childhood hero! (only 1A was reserved... Hmmm maybe?)

Please someone tell me I'm not the only one whose done this... anyone... ;)

Odd to think V-Flyer is a little over a third the age of Virgin Atlantic itself!

Yes, I think even if Virgin Atlantic aren't organising a 'do', we should think about raising a glass somewhere ourselves.

To hit 30 years is a terrific achievement given that Richard started with the one aircraft, not to mention Lord King's unscrupulous campaign to bankrupt them, Virgin have done remarkably well to get where they are today. They are the airline of my first choice and will continue to do so.

Its still in the 21st livery... No doubt the balloon on the nose will make a re appearance like it did on the 25th anniversary.
