Hi All

The seat map has just opened for our flight from MAN to LHR in July.

I have chosen seats 5A & 5B, is there any better seats than these.

I believe drinks get served from the front and back, and the research I have done, says sit near the front of the cabin

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

The seat map opens tomorrow for our flight to LA ^) ^)

Always as close to the front as possible for domestic flights.

The VS transfer system is really good though once you reach LHR as you are directed straight to a bus at the top of the jetway as you leave the aircraft which takes you to T3 airside departures.

The front bulk head row should open up about 48hrs before OLCI opens as well so keep an eye on the seat map once OLCI time approaches.

Alternatively the two exit rows 12 & 13 have some extra legroom. You can only ask for those at the airport though, they're not available online.

Otherwise, rows 2 to 11 and 14 back are pretty much identical.

Drinks service is indeed from both the back and the front, so it's the middle that gets served last.

i avoid the front bulkhead seats...
less leg room (but more knee room)
no stowage in front
table in arms rest impinges on seat width, slower/fiddlier than the seatback tray table

the next 2-3 rows are my preferred ones, fast on/off, early drinks, stretch legs

Though I am usually allocated front(ish) seats....I do prefer towards the back. Less crowded, even on the Manchester flights and served first....though that is true of the front.

However, I like a good natty with the crew and maybe the offer of a second drink..... ): I use to always sit in 19F, no other reason than that was my seat on the inaugural flight but you didn't get served that quickly, especially on a busy flight!
