Might hold on to Silver yet!

'There's never been a more rewarding time to travel than now. Fly as many times as you wish in Economy by 10 July 2014, and we’ll reward you with 50% bonus Flying Club miles and 2 bonus tier points on every sector you fly with Virgin Atlantic. So take a return flight and you’ll earn 4 bonus tier points. And that’s on top of the normal miles and tier points you’d earn*.

For example, if an Economy return flight to New York would normally earn you 6,916 Flying Club miles and 4 tier points, with our offer, you’ll now earn 10,374 miles and 8 tier points if you fly by 10 July 2014.

And then the only difficulty you’ll have is deciding how to spend the miles that you’ve earned. See more of our destinations for less with Miles Plus Money reward flights from just 2,000 miles. Or explore Manchester, Edinburgh or Aberdeen with a Little Red reward flight for 7,500 miles. Or why not upgrade from Economy to Premium Economy on your next trip from just 10,000 miles. '

Note: Little Red flights are excluded from this offer.

Hmm, not seen this mail yet, wonder if it's targeted...?

Is this for economy travel only? And I wonder if it can be for flights already booked, as I'll register my Y return from DXB if so!

I'll tell you in a couple of weeks - PE out and Y back to DXB, will see what credits. Sounds like just Y though which is an interesting promotion if so...

I've just registered using lovinggold's link as I couldn't find it on the website.
I'm only flying upper in June so I hope they do an UC promotion!
If they do I could get to gold! ^)

Once registered, fly as many times as you wish in Economy by 10 July 2014, and we’ll reward you with 50% bonus Flying Club miles and 2 bonus tier points on every sector.

I did see that. I cannot for the life of me understand why they would offer this just for EC??
They are saying if you were going to book two PE flights, guess what, just pay for EC and we will give you as many TP's and you would have got for two W's :0

I'm puzzled why they offer this too -- I never book an M fare, always S because I value the additional points and mileage, now with this offer I can book an M for say £500/600 less than an S and actually get more points? [6+2+2] :D

50% extra Flying Club miles and 2 bonus tier points will be awarded to a Qualifying Member on completion of sectors taken in Y,B,R,L,U,M,V,E,Q,X,N or O booking classes ("Qualifying Flights"), that are flown between 16 May and 10 July (inclusive) ("Qualifying Period").

I think that hits the nail firmly on the head. 8D y)

The vast majority of the passengers that fly economy with VS, including Flying Club members, don't have the first clue about M buckets and the like - IMHO, all VS are trying to do is get more bums on seats down the back before the summer school holiday rush.

Looking through my emails, a similar offer was given for PE and UC back in September 2012. Guess they're just just going down the line this time?!

It sounds like an economy promotion, I always thought that Virgins money losing problem wasn't its premium cabins, its the half full economy cabins. Combine that with the current rumour (not really a rumour) that they're skimping on alcohol on the party routes, then why bother going on them in economy if that's important to you (and they are priced as a premium airline too)?

I dunno if those points will make a difference to the type of person who that is important for.

That's what I thought as well when I read the email.

Isn't it just awesome. And a bit of a b* (sorry, but it just is) that I flew to JFK on a M upgraded to G on........6 May and the qualifying period is from 16 May!
