Your favourite aircraft to fly on?

Has to be the 747 for me but do have a soft spot for the VC10 which I flew on a few times down to Ascension Island.

Short Haul - Has to be the Embraer 195.
Long Haul - 747's, although they are all I have flown on for long haul flights so far (although I'll be on a Norwegian 787 later this year so it shall make for an interesting comparison!).

The best long haul flight I had was on a Virgin A330 from Man - Las. Having said that the flight only had 40 people on there and back. We flew at 41000 feet and there wasn't any turbulence on either leg.

Favourites for me are the 747 of course and the A340-600, although do have a soft spot for the first generation 737 (with the cigar engines) as that was the first aircraft I flew on as a kid.
Least favourites are the
DC9 (MD-11) - horrible flight from Chicago to Vegas, everything about it.
DC10 (scared to go on them as a youngster such was their reputation after the crashes)
And finally the Beech 1900 - "flew" one from Las Vegas to Merced, well I say flew but when the pilots and the ground staff started arguing about take off weights and with the Mrs not known for travelling light we decided to deplane with our bags and take a 12 hour drive instead, not a very nice plane to be on

And favourite part of the plane to sit (of course UC is always nice) on the 747 is in Premium (both Virgin and Air New Z) on the lower deck where you only have 6 seats and curtains pulled at the front and back, always good for a good nights sleep from LAX!

Had a horrible flight on one of these, AAChicago/Austin - noisy and tiny - yuck!!

Mind you, try the BAE748 for size - that feels like it's going to drop out of the sky any moment - talk about under powered.

Flew in a couple of BAE125's as well - now that was fun! Think about them as a poor man's Learjet!

DC9 was a great plane, the piilots will (mostly) tell you they were the "last pilot's plane", meaning they handled well and took real skill to fly smoothly.

Jetstream JS31 - why they called it that, I'll never know - it's got props! Had a number of very noisy flights on these as well!
