Flew on VS9 May 5th, 7.30pm to JFK and it was pretty empty, first time this has happened to me.
Flying Econ, I asked at the desk about upgrading to PE and the very nice man said 2don't bother, you will have more room in economy". Boy was he right. Downstairs they announced there were only 91 economy passengers and in the bubble there were just 12 of us, so 3 seats each !
Great Stewards, fun chat all the way to JFK and even the food was good,(pre-booked Asian Veggie) it was like the VS of old.
Big thanks for the check-in staff for his advice to stay put.

Reckon I can beat that - mum flew back MCO - GLA beginning of April (first revenue eastbound flight of the season) = total of 16 pax on the 747.

To say it was a quiet trip would be understating it somewhat!

Someone posted a TR when he was the only person in UC and a friend flew solo in First Class in Cathay Pacific from JNB to HKG.

We were on a 61 pax 747 flight from MAN to MCO a few years back. 6 of us in UC, 5 in PE and the rest in Y, the return flight was fully booked so it still made sense to send the a/c - crew unsurprisingly were excellent.
