Hello and a TP question

Hi, all! I'm a fairly long time reader of the forum and decided to sign up having seen how friendly and knowledgeable the community is here.

I've been collecting VS miles since last October; we travel a reasonable amount for work, but as our flights tend to be booked for us by different agencies it has been a little tough to focus on one airline programme. However, with the use of credit cards, Tesco vouchers and other methods I've racked up a few miles with VS, with BA as our back up. To say I've become mildly obsessed is an understatement! My other half finds it very tedious, but I'm hoping that when it comes time to redeem he'll be more enthusiastic!

I have a question regarding Tier Points that I'm hoping someone can advise me on. We're 3 points from Ag; not terribly exciting, I realise, but I'm looking forward to the miles boost it provides. We have a flight booked through VS that's LHR to SAN via JFK, a Delta operated code share X fare, then a return from LAX direct to LHR that's an N fare. I keep finding conflicting reports on how many TP we'll earn for this economy trip. The booking with Virgin was a bit unclear on this and I'm now thoroughly confused. Any input appreciated! We're currently in San Francisco, but upon our return I look forward to participating here more. Thanks so much!

You may be able to sneak some extra TPs out of it, however if not you will each earn the following:
LHR - JFK 2 TP
JFK - SFO 1 TP
LAX - LHR 2 TP

Total of 5TPs each.... if you qualify for the offer then you might be able to wangle an extra 4 TPs onto your total.

joeyc, thank you so much for your help! 5 TP is actually better than I anticipated as I read somewhere that N fares only qualify for 1 TP, and I was starting to worry that we might not qualify for Ag in time if that was the case and the Delta flights had some TP restrictions.

Sadly we'll miss out on the bonus TP offer which is a shame.
