It is very easy with purple parking. You meet the guy at the front at an agreed time. He then drives you through the DTCI and speeds away with your car. We always tip a few bob as purple parking do (or used to) say it was at the drivers discretion. Anyone can do it. You could also DTCI you family and then go and park the car and just do main check in yourself (no bags and pre checked in but I think you have to go to the desk to be let into the magic lift)

You need to call the DTCI and book in. They need your flight details and car reg. the car is let in through number plate recognition. You cant just turn up. You then get out- your bags are taken from your boot by a Virgin man- a Virgin person then walks out to meet you. PP drive off in your car. You go to desk. They check passport and give you printed boarding cards (even if you have checked in on line). Then you walk down short corridor- you used to stop half way down and do passport control but last time I went through it was right at the end. The UC check in lift come to the same corridor. At the end is the fast track security scanner. through there- through duty free and into the clubhouse.
