Hi, I've been reading posts on the forum for many months and have gained tons of valuable info. We're travelling from LHR to LAX in a couple of months and are in UC for the first time. I've looked at the seat configuration of the airbus (it's the 3.45pm flight) and it appears that there are three single pods across the cabin. Which seats would you recommend for selection? I haven't a clue about this as we normally travel in PE.
Thanks in advance.

How many of you are travelling?

I personally would still go for 3 seats in the 2-6K or 9-12A area. The A and K seats are much better in my opinion, and it's better to have 3 in a row rather than one opposite. You can still chat easily at the bar ;)

I concur - go for 3 next to each other. The way the cabin's configured, if you go for 3 across you'll be isolated from each other.

We are flying out to LAX in July and I have picked 10A and 11A, when there was 4 of us last year I picked 9A-12A

Very good seats and one of the first off the plane

We are normally a threesome (Mr, Mrs and Junior Marshy). We always opt for A or K aisles as the seats on the UCDS are 5 inches or so longer than the middle section seats.

And travelling in a 'line' is much easier for chatting etc than travelling 'across' the cabin.

Thank you all for your replies. Our seat map opens tomorrow so I'll take your advice and go for three in a line if they're available.

I'm doing that flight in mid June in UC and the seat selection was wide open with none selected by anyone else when seats became bookable, so hopefully you should be fine to select the seats you're after

I was able to get the seats I wanted this morning. There was only a single seat taken in the whole of UC!

Thanks for all your help.
