Vs400 departs at 2200.... Is considering a late breakfast in the ch too keen? With a schedule of treatments, spa, reading and roof top drinking...
Blacky I'm shocked, I thought there's no such thing as too long in the Clubhouse!
Just depends on your boredom threshold I guess. Much as I love that place, 12 hours would be pushing it. At the end of the day it's an airport lounge (albeit one of the best in the world).

I don't think I'd be able to find the gate after that amount of time in there gumshoe !

Ha ha, think JoeyC is the only one who could cope

The only way is left....since I found V-Flyer

We usually arrive at the CH around 3.30pm in time for afternoon tea, a treatment and dinner for the VS400. We find that length of time just about right.
The title of this thread is deliberately misleading, pure click-bait! ;-)

Always a fan of turning left!
We are planning about 6 hrs in the clubhouse, when we are there in 7 weeks. No point in paying for a hotel breakfast

Same here.
MANY moons ago, we were in the Gatwick Clubhouse for an originally scheduled 3 hours (LGW - MCO flight, having come down from GLA on first flight of the morning.)
MCO flight kept getting delayed first by an hour, then 2, then 4, then 6 until eventually we went 7 hours late - having spent a total of just over 10 hours in the clubhouse - ate virtually the entire menu, and TBH drank maybe a wee bit too much fizz...
Don't remember enough about that flight to do a trip report unfortunately, but what away to start the holiday.

Such libel!! Retract that immediately!

Actually, I once arrived at the CH from Cork on the early morning flight at 9am for the VS1 which at that time left at around 4pm. At check-in the lady there said, "Oooh, you'll have lots of lovely Clubhouse time" As I posted in that TR, how I wish she had been right! I was clothed in the Cloak of Invisibility from the moment I entered and when I asked for a glass of champagne which I had ordered some 20 minutes previously, I was met with a look of pure affront at such a request.....Well!

That visit was definitely too long!
To be honest after about five hours it really is too long - it even begins to pall after 3-4 hours. Apart from anything else, I want to be sober enough to enjoy the flight!
Spent 8 hours in the loft at lax ... Too tired to move around lax after a red eye from Nz... That did push the limits of lounge living ( that said, it was a far cry from the lux of lhr)

x2

However I have to confess that I have ( several times at least) managed a good 8 hours or so..........

It saves on fretting about problems on the M4.... that the bridge will be closed...., or that I'll encounter the type of disaster that usually befalls HL on her travels..
