LHR Clubhouse access on DL flights

Hello again,

Sorry to bombard the board today.

I'm flying out of LHR on VS5303/DL3 (Delta Metal). I'm in Business Elite on DL, so I think I can use the LHR Clubhouse anyway.

But, I'm also Virgin Flying Club Gold/AU. A couple of questions:

1) I believe I'm flying with a colleague (he is in Economy), can I guest him into the Clubhouse as I would normally were it a VS metal flight?

2) If in future I'm on DL metal, but not flying Business Elite, can I use the Clubhouse as I would normally were it a VS metal flight?

I called VS CS to get some information on this.

If flying DL metal (any class) on a VS codeshare, AU passengers *cannot* invite a guest into the LHR clubhouse.

AS we already know, non-AU passengers flying DL Business Elite can access the LHR clubhouse (but, again, cannot invite a guest).

Well, this just in via e-mail from very helpful VS Customer Services with regard to FC AU members on DL flights and use of the LHR Clubhouse:

"I'm pleased to confirm that we have an agreement with Delta that enables you to use Heathrow Clubhouse, you are also allowed one guest travelling in any cabin on the same Delta flight."

Thanks for this NYLON -- I'm interested in it and have posted about it twice before.

I am interested particularly in whether as VS AU you can get into the CH on a DL flight when not flying BusinessElite. Reading the rules suggests to me that you can't, but these things are rarely clear. It would be good to get confirmation of this in practice from someone!

My understanding is that if you are VS AU, flying out of LHR T3 on a DL flight/VS codeshare (in any class of travel), you can use the CH.

I think that is because all DL metal flights out of T3 are VS codeshares anyway.

And it sounds like FC AU members can also guest-in a companion (flying in any class) on the same DL flight.
