Boarded slightly late but no big deal,I have flown UC a few times but mainly on 747's, this of course was an A330, so UC was bigger, it did appear slightly more cramped & it was full and..........there were a total of six kids in UC. I have grown up children & also three grandchildren, so understand the problems involved with travelling with them. But one family was right opposite me utilising three seats, Mum,Dad, 4 year old & a baby......also a nanny in Economy! I have to say it spoilt my usual enjoyment of UC, they were constantly on the move for what seemed the whole flight, baby was not too bad but the older one was one pain in the proverbial. Seemed to cry & moan all the time seeking constant parental input. Anyway decided to throw copious quantities of red wine at the problem which basically worked as I did manage a couple of hours sleep. On descent into Gatwick the little madam just cried continuously for what was about 15-20 mins then stopped abruptly on landing....was she scared? Me thinks not ,she just didn't like having to sit still.
UC seat was fine for me, I am not particularly big, food was usual good standard and what part of "Gravity" I watched was good!....the wine finally got me!
I do not profess to know the answer about kids in planes ( unless they go in the hold!.....only joking), but one pays a lot of money to travel UC & this time it didn't work for me.
Do BA allow kids in Club World?......joking again.
