travelling lgw-mco UC in September, friends have now shown interest in coming along too, i have our preferred seats 8/9 k reserved (747-400)

i was checking prices and availability in PE on the same flight on behalf of our friends, same date/time (15 out, 16 back)
and it states aircraft type as A-330, i thought i had made a mistake but after several dummy runs it is coming up the same, how can this be ?

booked thru va (flying club) as my partner has health issues and thought it better to clarify a few details, come to think of it, i requested 8/9 k but have not checked my 'wheres my seat' on flying club yet.
am i right in assuming that the A 330's out of lgw dont have UC cabin ?
sure hope so as i am i am no fan of the 330.

just cant understand why different aircraft types come up depending on cabin selection on the same dates/flight ?|

Ok, I assume you made a special assistance seat request over the phone, because officially you won't be able to choose seats until June 25th and the online seat map won't be available until then.

MCO flights are normally operated by 747s but sometimes 330s will stand in. The 330s do now all have UC cabins though and have done for a while.

its all now starting to make sense, i did request 8/9 k but i have just checked 'my future flights' on flying club and its not showing a seat map, so i can assume that at this stage we may well be travelling on a 330 v(

still does'nt explain why different types are coming up with different cabin selection, just did it again there a few minutes ago, very strange, i think the va site is a bit of a dogs dinner compared to how user friendly it once was.

Hi Loonyball,

If you log onto you booking and click on the flight number it should open up a new window which provides information about four flight including the aircraft expected to be used.
