Hi
New poster here but been reading for a while picking up all the excellent info and tips. Thought I'd share with you what happened to my booking last night. So a month or so ago we booked to fly into vegas at the end of March 2015 and leave to come home from LA a week later. Got the email confirmation with ticket details etc and all was good. Last night I logged into my flying club account and noticed that they'd moved us to the Vs08 from the vs24! No big deal, however as it's a family holiday we'd made plans for theme parks on our last day thinking the flight doesn't go til 10pm so we'd have all day. Now we leave at 5pm so that kind of kills the day for us. Called today to see what the score was and was told that Delta have taken on the Vs24 and virgin have got one of their Atlanta flights in return. Had a quick search on here but wasn't sure if it was common knowledge or not so thought I'd post anyway to let you all know.

Hi and welcome.

Yes I'm afraid that's true, and was discussed at length when the news broke last month. Delta are taking over the VS23/24 while VS are taking over one of DL's rotations to Atlanta.

There should be no reason why, if asked, VS shouldn't be able to transfer you to the DL flight if timings are important - after all, that's what you booked and the new DL service will be a VS codeshare.

If, however, you prefer to fly on VS metal (understandable!) and/or are booked in PE (which DL don't offer), you'll need to switch to the earlier VS8 sadly.

Hi and welcome.

Yes, it was announced and discussed a few weeks ago.

I can understand it might have messed your last day plans up slightly but I think you have done pretty well being moved on to the earlier VS flight, some people have had issues with being kept on the new Delta flight when they really want to fly on VS metal. It is a shame they didn't notify you about the change though.

Hi, yeah I'm sure the notification will come in time! We're flying home in UC so the kids, and adults to be fair, are pretty excited. Will maybe phone every month or so to see if we can move to the vs8 the day after as they said today there were no reward seats available on that day. Would much rather have the virgin plane than delta

Just another question. I looked on deltas booking site and it saying flight is operated by Virgin. Showing a 747 layout so why have they changed us to an earlier flight?
