Virgin have changed the departure times on this route for my December trip to Hawaii.

I have Z tickets, will I be able to take a different flight back from LAX because of this? I am thinking the following day to be honest...

How much of a change has taken place?
Due to how much notice VS have given you it is unlikely they will agree to a change without a fee, but you can ask, worse they can say is no.

I was booked on Dec 29th to depart LAX at 18:50 it is now due to depart at 17:15

They actually have not given me any notice yet, I saw a thread on here about a time change from LAX-LHR in January so I logged in to check mine.

My issue is that it eats into plans I had in LA so much so that I am going to have to cancel them (I was already cutting it close with the original departure time but at least that was my choice!).

The ideal scenario would be for me to take my flight back a day and stay overnight in LA (at my own expense of course). If it makes any difference, I do have 7 UC seats booked for this trip and it will be my third UC transatlantic flight this year!

As I said, give them a call, explain the situation and see what they say. It could be a simple yes, if it's a no, it's then up to you how much you want to pursue it with them.

Why not take them to Knot's Berry Farm??
No where near as busy or expensive and I think may suit your ages better than something like Six Flags.
Last time I went, a few years ago, it was more old school, still had a few good rides. From memory its only 30-40 mins from LAX.
If you are looking for discounts try getting the So. Cal. Pass.

Santa Monica / Venice Beach? Some shopping, beach, pier, many places to eat...

Would second Knot's Berry Farm. Also with a 1 year old - you could try LA zoo. Typically not as busy as say San Diego Zoo but still fun for the younger kids.
