I think at the moment so many people are confused about what is and what isn't, unless your a V-Flyer then you have the wealth of knowledge to be able to understand and get the intel :-D

one question though what is B&S?

Probably different on the B&S routes though.

No it isn't. :) At T-31 the number of assigned seats on my outbound to St Lucia is exactly the same as at the close of T-60 (4) and for the return at T-42 there are 3 more seats selected than at T-60 for that leg (8 now)

I'm surprised ... I would have thought that pax would be scrambling for the top seats on these routes...all part of the experience etc. Mind you, not all are V-Flyers and know what to do! ):

Enjoy St.Lucia...I WILL get there one day. ii)

We shall see. It may be that my flights are hugely undersubscribed, or (my current bet) that once VH tickets arrive on the mat there will be a flurry of activity.

We shall enjoy St Lucia, I promise....

OK - I've been busy house selling and appear to have missed all this!

When I booked our flights to Orlando last year for November 2014 I was told I couldn't request my seats until online check in opened 24 hours before the flight.
Am I now right in thinking that I can now request them 60 days beforehand?

Blink and you miss it ..........

You have always been able to request seats before OLCI.

It currently is T-60.

In the context of a discussion around VS IT upgrades, I'd probably go for 'Bull' and 'Sh..' :-)

I was told when I booked that I would be able to pay to select my seats from 25th June but if I didn't want to pay I would have to wait for OLCI to open 24 hours before departure.

Am I right in thinking I can now request my seats free of charge 60 days before departure?

It depends, are you flying PE or UC or on AU?

When did you book.

You are right as it is at the moment but I would keep checking here / VS website for seating policy changes as it could go live at any time but knowing VS history it's going to be a looong time lol

but yeah best keep an eye out here as mainly find things out first on here.

There is a long thread about it below. The jury is out on when. Some would say, bearing in mind current Virgin Atlantic IT track record, when hell freezes over ):

I suspect it all seriousness it will be months away.

Makes sense. Get the main summer holidays out of the way so more time to test etc.

I think 2014 is optimistic, not so sure about September 2015 either :)
