Going to Vegas November, have been before and sat in the bubble on new premium economy seats but felt uncomfortable as the arm rest was not adjustable and I have arthritis so felt sitting in that one position really sore. Are all PE seats in the new 747's like that. Thanks.
Yes, I'm afraid the Premium Economy seats are all the same on every aircraft. They all have fixed arm rests as that's where the table is stored when not in use.

Are economy seats the same. We are going upper class going but cannot afforD do that on the return unless a good deal comes up on an upgrade. The seats were so uncomfortable that I would actually consider going from PE to economy if they would let me. I have travelled Virgin economy a few times on the older 747's and while I know PE seats have more leg room, the fixed arm rests are so uncomfortable and feel in quite a lot of pain when I get off.
No, the only economy seats that do have a fixed armrest are those in bulk head or exit rows (as again that's where the table is stored in those rows).
Standard economy seats do have movable armrests.
Extra leg room economy seats may be something to consider as I believe those are just standard economy seats, but with slightly more leg-room.

Hi Magsjk,
It's not the same situation as yours, but I've (kindly!) turned down upgrades to PE from EC on empty morning flights ex-NYC because I've wanted to sleep across the middle four/five seats (I've always asked the crew if that's ok).
As mitchhja says, standard EC have fully movable armrests (they go fully upright).
Fingers crossed for a comfortable flight for you...

That's a bit harsh...

We can get better, because we're not dead yet
Whoops!!
Typing too quickly. Duly corrected above, pjh (thank you), and HUGE apologies for the typo, magsjk!

I'm going off topic, but Nylon, are you saying that vs was doing op up without an overlooking? I didn't think this is something vs did!
Hello mrsw,
Yes, it's happened three times to me on the VS18, which is frequently quite empty, and once on the old VS1 (but the VS1 flight was quite possibly overbooked).

Thank you Nylon, that's always good to hear. I have managed an ec to uc once due to an overbooked vs1, but that's another story
