Which of course means I haven't! Since availability to the US west coast on Virgin for miles redemptions in Upper has dried up, I though ha ha, DL really isn't so bad let's try that option. Looked on delta.com and lots of availability and options for the dates I want in October (not school hols) so phoned VS, and you guessed it nill. One seat in economy to Atlanta and onwards for one leg was all we came up with.

If I were more maudlin I'd add about how all these years of Virgin flying and all the miles built up are becoming more and more useless ... but, will keep trying.

I've been looking to redeem some miles to the West coast as well slinks ( because I LOVED Palm springs and can't wait to go back :D ) and I've had diddly squat joy too :(! .Redemption seats seem to be at an all time low for the places I want to go to ,even with the partners and alliances who supposedly offer use of FC miles .FWIW I've never had any joy with any of them....

As I thought. It's clear that VS FC members have very limited availability on DL flights to use miles, near to zero that is. Whereas VS is also clearly reserving some redemption seats for DL fliers, meaning the availability to FC members is further reduced. I don't see what gain this DL tie-up brings in this department.
