Interesting they're not going with the A346-style D/G split in the middle section in UC. That means the A seats will clearly be the V-Flyers' choice! On paper 1A looks to be very private, with no traffic for the WC up front like on the A333.
Where is the "Wander Wall" in PE? Presumably at the front but no sign of it on the map.
And looks like this'll be the only VS aircraft with no blocks of 2 in economy - 3s only. That won't be popular with many!

3-3-3 is the Boeing recommended seat layout and as far as I can see only ANA 2-class V1 & V2 have 2-4-2 layout. The newer 3-class planes have 3-3-3.

Not many toilets for economy / premium passengers

Looks like there will be big issues with toilets.
No truly dedicated UC lavatories at all, as those by the bar will end up being shared lavatories between UC/PE as the crew can never enforce access.
I can't believe that there'll be only 2 loos for 198 passengers in economy?!

Looks like at least 3, go ever there might be more than one wc per shaded area on the seatmap.... maybe
The image just shows where the toilets will be - not the actual number.
For Example: In economy there would actually be 2 toilets in the centre making it 4 toilets for the economy cabin - The same amount on the 340-600 which seats 27 more Y pax.
At least this way all the loos are in the same place in the main cabin so it means no one sitting right at the toilet door like on the 330/340 and all queues in one place = more efficient.
As for J/W it looks like there will be 4 toilets (which is identical to the 330) however the toilet next to the flight deck will be located on the left, creating 2 loos on each side for premium pax.

When you look at other airline configurations, there are more toilets to the rear, just before door #4. There is also the large un-named block behind row 68 that can be toilets.

The block of grey at the back in the middle is access to the cabin crew rest area by the 4 doors. All the Y toilets are by the 3 doors and all the forward toilets are by the 3 doors (2 for J 2 for W).
I took the Boeing factory tour yesterday and could see the Virgin Tail sticking up in the distance from the 787-9 production line so it's currently being put together. Sadly couldn't get a closer look as they showed us the 787-8 line properly instead. The first Air NZ plane was out on the tarmac outside. Looked pretty cool all in black.

I'm booked on the VS003/004 JFK next May. None of the dates I looked at showed the 787 the other day, all show as a 343. Booked anyway as I saw an article saying these flights would be on the 787 from end of Feb. Just hoping that turns out to be the case!

A few years ago, I was wanting to book flights to JFK and like you, found all the flights were down as the A343. The agent I spoke to could not give any explanation for that but in the fulness of time the proper aircraft were assigned to flights. It was as if the A343 was the default setting on the website!

I suspect that climb is with empty plane/low fuel. Bet you anything it can't do that with full fuel/pax load. Pretty amazing viewing though - never seen a non-military jet do that kind of climb before.

The 787 wing is much more flexible than the other airliners out there at the moment, I believe it's to do with the materials used in its construction.
I've just got myself a G on the first flight :-)
