Does anyone have any experience of this lounge?

I can't really find much online (http://www.ausbt.com.au/photos-virgin-a ... ort-lounge). I have a couple of layovers coming up there, one after a long-haul from Seoul, so would love a LHR Revivals-type experience.

In particular, I'd love to know if there are showers there.

I have FC Au status, so I think I should have access, as I'm flying VA when in Australia.

Thanks!

This suggests there are showers in all VA lounges except the tiny one at Mackay: http://www.virginaustralia.com/uk/en/ex ... /#benefits

VS Au entitles you to access VA's lounges prior to a VA flight, so as long as you're connecting on to VA on the same day as your long haul from Seoul you'll be fine.

If not, sounds like you can also use them as arrivals lounges as long as your incoming flight is on VA or a partner airline: http://www.virginaustralia.com/uk/en/ex ... nge/#entry

I haven't been in there for some years but it did have showers - I believe it's been re-modelled and extended as have several other VA lounges.
The VA lounges are IMHO opinion functional with a limited food offering - the staff however are nothing but helpful ( again IMHO) :) .

Thanks for the sleuthing gumshoe and DragonLady. I missed the "shower" bit in the benefits section!

Well, I'll be sure to send an update about the current state of the lounge!

Thanks again.

Each of the VA lounges has a single shower in each of the male/female facilities. From recollection you need to ask for a towel pack from the desk as they are not kept in the shower room.

The Brisbane lounge is perfectly adequate and the last time i was there in the morning there was a pancake machine, toaster, toasted sandwich machine and a selection of fruits, cereals, yoghurt, cheese and hams. There is not much hot food available although baked beans were on offer. A barista will be at the coffee station though - not bad coffees.

There is also a secondary lounge which is only opened in peak hours which I have not used so can't comment on. Unfortunately the main lounge does not have airfield views, the secondary one does have limited views (from what I could see when walking past.

The Domestic and International terminals are quite a distance apart, not walkable, but if you are on a connecting flight a free train pass is generally included.

I spent three hours there in January en route to Sydney to get my VS home, my EY gold gets me in when onward bound with VA.

Fellow occupants included an aussie ladies sports team, you know the sort of thing, six foot blondes in their early 20s, so I have to confess I didn't exactly study the lounge.

However the staff were great, the loos were clean and the breakfast buffet was fine. There is, of course, free wifi. And they did open the NZ fizz (Lindauer) at about 10am!!

lol, thanks both! That's very good information to have.

Nice fizz, but where's the photo of the sports team, HWVlover?
