I'm sure the was G-VSXY? :)

KSS had the bird strike at MCO which totalled an engine, SXY was the humidity from fruit affecting the smoke detectors on climb out from LGW.

No. I don't think I'll ever get over Macho Grande

If we carry on like this we could end up with a thread that is not only the longest ever but also the one which strays most from the original topic.... :)

Now, looks like I chose the wrong week to quit drinking...

A hospital? What is it?
It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

You quit drinking just before a trip to the clubhouse, a UC flight to St Lucia and an all inclusive holiday at East Winds!!!

Paul, you need to see a doctor, quickly!

I am deeply touched by your concern, but fear not I was merely quoting from "Airplane!". I rowed back from the "Looks like I chose the wrong week to quite sniffing glue!" :)

Would you like something to read?
Do you have anything light?
How about this leaflet, "Famous Jewish Sports Legends?"

Ahh times before the choice became only FT, Independent or the DM.... ii)

There's no reason to become alarmed and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight.

By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?

It may it be me because I fancy a shot of flying one (since I fly smaller ones) but I sometimes wish they'd ask me that.

Anyway we've ran out of coffee.
(That's possibly from Airplane 2: The Sequel?)

OMG am I the only member of this forum that feels sorry for Tom Daley?

Personally I would love to see him come onto this forum and respond to some of these comments v(

Many people on this thread did express their sympathies for what Tom Daley (and the rest of the passengers) have gone through. The jokes were only made after we knew everything was ok and they were on their way. None of the jokes were directed at Tom and were more to do with the irresponsible media coverage (ref: nearly landed on a river)

Ah come on Hev..... it's all in good humour to quote from Airplane! when people post celebrity interest stories like this. :P

I personally wouldn't love for him to come onto this forum and respond - why would he do that when he still has yet to tweet about how many slices of toast he had this morning, and what the voices in his head are currently telling him to do? Yeh, I don't understand why individuals tweet about their daily lives..... I'm clearly an old man at heart ii)

What kind of plane is it?
Oh, it's a big pretty white plane with red stripes, curtains in the windows and wheels and it looks like a big Tylenol.
