OLCI completed the day before....got Seq 1 (woo hoo!) and same seat as on the way up (1C). Even got the same FSM, so we had a bit of a laugh about the late flight on the Friday.

Very uneventful flight - all went to plan - Checkin was smooth, grabbed a coffee and cake at Costas, then it was time to board. Left on time, food and drink the same as on the way up, bit of turbulence circling round Watford waiting to go into LHR, but nothing terrible.

Bags took a while to appear, but not too bad. Would fly LR again.

Glad you had a good flight down from Aberdeen

What was the PAX load like on this flight? I'm interested to know as I live about the same distance from both EDI and ABZ, however normally use EDI but with having close family in Aberdeen, then I may well consider flying from ABZ in the future.

Dan,
I'd say the most pressing concern for you would be how you're getting to the airport. If you're near a train station I would go Aberdeen (Dyce, shuttle bus) but if you're going by car the A90 is a nightmare and so unpredictable I'd use Edinburgh every time.

TBH I don't really know how busy the flights up and down were, they both seemed pretty full but I sat right at the front on both so didn't really look back down the plane, sorry.

We didn't have problems with the traffic in either direction (Arriving Fri 6pm-ish, getting to Dundee outskirts at 7:30pm and leaving Dundee for ABZ at 9am on the Monday, again taking 1.5 hours). We did use a sat nav with traffic on it and it took us down country lanes to the A90 on the Friday, maybe to avoid traffic, not sure.

We were advised by the people we were visiting to fly into EDI rather than ABZ, but as it turned out the two people who did that hit horrendous traffic on the Friday (landed about 3pm-ish), whereas we didn't!
