hi there,

after much wrangling with there poor web site i have managed to join Elevate,Virgin Americas flying program.

my question is, am i able to earn miles on my virgin atlantic program as well as my elevate program whilst flying with virgin america?
I'm flying with them from sfo to las, i added my virgin atlantic number at the time of booking. I've just tried to add my new elevate number with no joy..... although that may just be there web site issues ?|

any ideas anyone?

many thanks

You can only earn miles from 1 program for each flight, not both

if you have added your FC number on your flight details, that's where you will earn miles, if you want to earn Elevate points, you will need to take out the FC number and enter the Elevate one

That's just plain mean man...but thank you so much for clearing that up for me Penny L. I Suppose I just need to decide what is worth more and gut instinct tells me it's virgin atlantic ...any thoughts greatly appreciated...

How is it mean? Otherwise you would claim the miles through every partner programme on one flight.

Do you do many VX flights? If it's just the odd flight here and there you're unlikely to accumulate enough to have any meaning so then collecting VS FC miles would be better.

Imagine if you could claim on all flights.... my flight to Dubai last week would have scored me miles with: BA, AA, Qantas, Malaysian, Qatar, Sri Lankan, Air Berlin, Finnair, Cathay Pacific, Iberia, JAL, LAN, TAM, Royal Jordanian and S7.

I'd never need to book a paid seat again!

And all you Star Alliance folks may even have got a few more!
